ACTISENSE NBF-3-BAS, isoliert und puffert NMEA 0183 Daten, mit der Möglichkeit, mehrere Geräte zu betreiben. Der NBF-3 kann bis zu sechs identische NMEA-Streams von einer Quelle verteilen. Das NMEA-Signal wird gepuffert, um sicherzustellen, dass jeder Empfänger Daten mit der richtigen Spannung empfängt, was die richtige Datenqualität gewährleistet. Die Isolation an den Ein- und Ausgängen schützt alle Sender und Empfänger. Dadurch kann eine nicht isolierte Quelle angeschlossen werden, ohne das System negativ zu beeinflussen. Andernfalls können Erdschleifen mit fehlerhaften Ergebnissen entstehen. Der NBF3 hat die Möglichkeit, den NMEA-Sender mit Strom zu versorgen. Dadurch wird die Installation minimiert und vereinfacht.
