VICTRON ENERGY CYR020120450, used to protect a Lithium battery from being discharged. The battery sends its status to the VE Bus-BMS, which in turn controls the relay. The relay will release when its control input becomes floating. If the battery voltage recovers after the shutdown (which will happen when no other loads are connected to the battery) the BMS output will go high and the Cyrix will reset after 30 seconds. After 3 attempts to reclose, the Cyrix will continue to be disconnected until the battery voltage has increased to more than 26V (or 52V) for at least 30 seconds (which is a sign that the battery is charging).

Instead of a Cyrix Li-Lo, a battery guard (Battery Protect) can be used. It has slightly lower power consumption.

Protection against overheating
Cyrix releases the connection if temperatures get too high, and reconnects when it cools down.

< strong>No voltage loss
Cyrix battery combiner is an excellent replacement for separator diodes. The big advantage is that there is no voltage loss, so the voltage from the alternator or battery charger does not need to be increased.

Prioritization of the starter battery
In a typical installation, the alternator is connected directly to the starter battery. The consumption battery and possibly a bow battery or other battery, are each connected to the starter battery with a Cyrix battery combiner. When a Cyrix senses that the starter battery has reached the pairing voltage, it ensures that the others are charged in parallel.

Bidirectional voltage sensing
Cyrix senses the voltage from both batteries. It can therefore also connect if, for example, the consumer battery is charged with a charger. The Cyrix-ct 12/34 has a dual power supply, therefore it switches on if the voltage from one battery is too low to control the unit. To protect against accidental use, the Cyrix-ct will not shut down if the voltage is lower than 2V (12V batteries) or 4V (24V batteries).

Parallel connection in case of emergency (Start Assist)
< /strong>Cyrix can also trigger with a push button (Cyrix is closed for 30 seconds) or a power switch for manual operation. This is suitable if a battery is discharged or damaged.
