VICTRON ENERGY CYR010230412, is a battery combiner (separator relay) for lithium batteries. The Cyrix battery combiner is a microprocessor-controlled heavy-duty relay that automatically connects batteries in parallel when one of them has reached a preset voltage (indicating that the battery is charging) and disconnects when the voltage drops below a floating level (indicating that one or more batteries are discharging). Cyrix battery combiners are an excellent alternative to diode isolators. The most important feature is that there are practically no voltage drops so that the output voltage from generators or battery chargers does not need to be increased.

Cyrix connects a starting battery (lead-acid) with a lithium battery if: The charging output from a VE -Bus BMS is high or if there is more than 13.4V (or 26.8V) on the terminal. Cyrix releases immediately: When the control output is free, indicating overvoltage or overtemperature or when the battery voltage is below 13.2V. Cyrix has a start assist function. A short pulse closes the relay for 30 seconds.

Protection against overheating
Cyrix releases the connection if temperatures get too high, and closes again when it cools down.

< p>No loss of voltage
Cyrix battery combiner is an excellent replacement for separator diodes. The big advantage is that there is no voltage loss, so the voltage from the alternator or battery charger does not need to be increased.

Prioritization of the starter battery
In a typical installation, the alternator is connected directly to the starter battery. The consumption battery and possibly a bow battery or other battery, are each connected to the starter battery with a Cyrix battery combiner. When a Cyrix senses that the starter battery has reached the pairing voltage, it ensures that the others are charged in parallel.

Bidirectional voltage sensing
Cyrix senses the voltage from both batteries. It can therefore also connect if, for example, the consumer battery is charged with a charger. The Cyrix-ct 12/34 has a dual power supply, therefore it switches on if the voltage from one battery is too low to control the unit. To protect against accidental use, the Cyrix-ct will not shut down if the voltage is lower than 2V (12V batteries) or 4V (24V batteries).

Parallel connection in case of emergency (Start Assist)
< /strong>Cyrix can also trigger with a push button (Cyrix is closed for 30 seconds) or a power switch for manual operation. This is suitable if a battery is discharged or damaged.
