VICTRON ENERGY BMS300200000, is a VE.Bus BMS protecting each individual cell of a Victron Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4 or LFP) battery. Every single cell in a LiFePO4 battery must be protected against over- and under-voltage and against excessive temperature. Victron's LiFePO4 batteries have an integrated balancing, temperature and voltage control (acronym: BTV) and connect to the VE.Bus BMS with two circular m8 cable connector sets. The BTV controllers on multiple batteries can be daisy-chained. Up to ten batteries can be connected in parallel and up to four batteries can be connected in series (simply daisy-chaining the BTV controllers) giving a 48 V battery bank with up to 3000 Ah.
Protects each individual cell in a lithium iron phosphate battery (LiFePO4 or LFP).
Each individual cell in a LiFePO4 battery must be protected against over- and under-voltage and against over-temperature. Victron's LiFePO4 batteries have a built-in control for balance, temperature and voltage (acronym BTV) and connect to the VE.Bus BMS with two round M8 connector sets. The BTV controllers on multiple batteries can be daisy-chained. Up to five batteries can be connected in parallel and up to four batteries can be connected in series (you simply daisy-chain the BTV controllers) giving a 48 V battery bank with up to 1500 Ah. Please read the description for LiFePO4 batteries for more details.
The BMS will:
- Shut down or disconnect loads if there is a risk of cell undervoltage.
- Reduce the charging current if there is an imminent risk of cell overvoltage or overtemperature
- Shut down or disconnect battery charger if there is an imminent risk of cell overvoltage or overtemperature.
Protects 12V, 24V and 48V systems
BMS operating voltage range: 9 to 70V DC.
Communicates with all VE.Bus products
Ve.Bus BMS can be connected to a MultiPlus, Quattro or Phoenix inverter using a standard RJ45 UTP cable.
Load Disconnection
The load output is normally high and free-floats in the event of imminent cell undervoltage (default 3 ,1 V/cell, can be adjusted on the battery between 2.85 V and 3.15 V per cell). Maximum current: 2 A.
The load disconnect output can be used to control the functions of:
- remote on/off of a load, and/or
- remote off /switching on an electronic load (BatteryProtect)
Pre-alarm
The output of the pre-alarm is usually free-flowing and increases in case of imminent cell undervoltage (default 3.1 V/cell, can be adjusted on the battery between 2.85 V and 3.15 V per cell). Maximum current: 1 A (not short-circuit protected)
- The shortest delay between pre-alarm and load disconnection is 30 seconds
