VICTRON ENERGY QUA488024000, is a combined inverter (inverter) and charger QUATTRO with 48/8000/110-100/100 and VE.Bus. It can also take two AC inputs and automatically connects to the active source. Its many features include a true sine wave inverter, adaptive charging, hybrid PowerAssist technology as well as numerous system integration features such as three-phase or split-phase operation and parallel operation. The series includes several models with different voltage and power.
Two AC inputs with integrated transfer switch
Quattro can be connected to two independent AC sources, for example the public grid and a generator, or two generators. Quattro will automatically connect to the active source.
Two AC outputs
The main output has an uninterrupted function. Quattro takes over the supply to the connected loads in the event of a mains failure or when shore/generator power is disconnected. This happens so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment will continue to function without interruption. The second power source is live only when AC is available in one of the Quattro inputs. Loads that should not drain the battery, such as a water heater, can be connected to this output
Split phase option
A split phase AC source can be obtained by connecting our autotransformer (see data sheet at victronenergy.com ) to a “European” inverter programmed to supply 240 V/60 Hz.
Three-phase capability
Three units can be configured for three-phase output. But that's not all: up to four sets of three 15 kVa units can be paralleled to provide 144 kW/ 180 kVA output power and more than 2400 A charging capacity. PowerControl - when managing limited generator power, shore power or grid power. Quattro is a very powerful battery charger. It will therefore draw a lot of current from the generator or from the shore connection (16 A per 5 kVA Quattro at 230 VAC). A current limit can be set for each AC input. The Quattro will then take into account other AC loads and use any extra current for charging, preventing the generator or shore power from being overloaded.

PowerAssist - enhanced capacity for shore or generator power< br>This function takes the principle of PowerControl to a new dimension and enables the Quattro to support the capabilities of the alternative source. As peak power is often only required for a limited period, Quattro will ensure that insufficient shore or generator power is immediately compensated with power from the battery. When the load decreases, the excess current is used to recharge the battery.
Solar energy: AC power is available even in case of grid failure
Quattro can be used without grid power, as well as with grid-connected PV and other alternative energy systems. A network loss detection software is available.
System configuration
Monitoring and on-site control
Several options are available: Battery monitor, Multi Control panel, Color Control GX and other GX devices, smartphone or tablet (Bluetooth Smart), laptop or desktop computer (USB or RS232). p>
Remote monitoring and control
Color Control GX and other GX units. Data can be stored and displayed on our VRM (Victron Remote Management) website, which is also free.
Remote Configuration
When connected to Ethernet, systems with a Color Control GX and other GX units are accessed and settings can be changed.
