VICTRON ENERGY BPR110048000, is a 48V-100A BatteryProtect that disconnects the battery from non-essential loads before it is completely discharged (which would damage the battery) or before it is insufficient to start the engine. When using Bluetooth to program the Smart BatteryProtect, any connect and disconnect levels can be set. Alternatively, one of the nine predefined connect and disconnect levels can be set with the programming pin (see manual). Bluetooth can be disabled if needed. The BatteryProtect is not intended for back current from charging sources.

Protects the battery from over-discharge and can be used as an on/off switch
The Smart BatteryProtect disconnects the battery from non-essential loads before it is completely discharged (which would damage the battery) or before it is insufficient to start the engine. The on/off input can be used as an on/off switch for the system.

Voltage range 12/24 volts
The Smart BatteryProtect automatically detects the system voltage only once.

Bluetooth: programming without problems
When using Bluetooth to program the Smart BatteryProtect, any connect and disconnect levels can be set. Alternatively, one of the nine predefined connect and disconnect levels can be set with the programming pin (see manual). Bluetooth can be disabled if needed.

Extra low power consumption
This is important for lithium-ion batteries, especially after a shutdown due to low voltage. For further information, please see our information sheet on lithium-ion batteries and the manual for the VE.Bus BMS.

Overvoltage protection
To protect more sensitive loads from overvoltage, the BatteryProtect will disconnect them if the DC voltage exceeds 16.3 V or 32.6 V respectively.

Spark-proof
MOSFET switches are used instead of relays, so no sparking occurs.

Delayed alarm
The alarm can be activated if the battery voltage drops below the preset disconnect level for more than 12 seconds. Restarting the engine therefore does not activate the alarm. The alarm output is a short-circuit protected open collector output that is connected to the negative terminal with a maximum current of 50 mA. The alarm output is often used to activate a buzzer, an LED or a relay.

Delayed load disconnection and delayed reconnection
The load will be disconnected 90 seconds after the battery voltage drops below the preset value. If the battery voltage rises to the threshold again within this time limit (after the engine has been started, for example), the load will not be disconnected. The load will be reconnected 30 seconds after the battery voltage has risen to more than the preset reconnection value.
