New version of VictronConnect – easier configuration and smarter functions

Victron Energy launches updates that enable configuring VE.Bus systems directly in the app, improved Bluetooth, and new firmware features.

Today, Victron Energy launches a new version of VictronConnect with several improvements and updated firmware versions for products.

The biggest news is that you can now configure parallel, three-phase, and split-phase systems with up to three units – directly in the app. This makes installation significantly easier and eliminates the need for the previous Windows-based VE Configuration tool.

News for VE.Bus Smart Dongle

Two important improvements:

  • Set the input current limit directly from your mobile for systems with VE.Bus BMS.
  • The dongle can now function as a voltage and temperature sensor for solar chargers, eliminating the need to install a separate Smart Battery Sense.

Improved Bluetooth function

The app now shows Bluetooth signal strength and continuously scans for products, making the connection faster and more user-friendly.

VE.Bus System Configuration

VictronConnect can now:

  • Set up parallel, three-phase, and split-phase systems (up to three units).
  • Configure existing systems with up to 12–15 units depending on the model.
  • Copy settings between units and save the configuration as a file.
  • Suggest firmware updates automatically upon new installation.

Why is the grid rejected?

VictronConnect now shows the exact reason why the grid is rejected directly in the overview, saving time during troubleshooting.

Other improvements

  • New firmware for BMV models, SmartShunt, SmartBMS CL, Inverter RS, and MPPT RS.
  • Improved BLE connection and user interface.
  • Ability to filter VRM installations with tags.
  • Bug fixes and stability improvements.
