Requirements for software update
- Download the latest software:
- A MicroSD card formatted to FAT or FAT32.
- 12/24 VDC power supply with at least 6A capacity.
- Your AIS4000 or AIS5000 Class A AIS transceiver.
Step-by-step: MKD software update
- Format the MicroSD card: Ensure the card is formatted to FAT or FAT32.
- Download and extract files: Download the ZIP file from Raymarine, unpack it, and export all files.
- Copy files: Place all extracted files in the root directory of the MicroSD card (not in a folder).
- Insert the card: Insert the MicroSD card into the AIS unit and power it on.
- Start the update: An update screen will appear automatically. Follow the on-screen instructions.
- Wait until the update is complete: Do not turn off the unit during the process. When the update is finished, the message “Software update complete” will be displayed.
- Remove the card and restart: Remove the MicroSD card and power cycle the unit.
