VICTRON ENERGY BPR000065400, is a battery protector that disconnects non-essential loads before the battery is fully discharged (which could damage it) or before it has too little power left to start the engine.< /p>

The battery protector automatically senses the system voltage and can be set to turn on/off at different voltage levels. The seven-segment display shows which setting you have selected. A special setting is available for Li-ion batteries. In this mode, the BP-65A can be controlled by a VE.Bus BMS. The BP-65A can also be used as a switch between a battery charger and a Li-ion battery.

Extra low power consumption
The BP-65A draws little power. It is important in the case of Li-ion batteries, especially after a shutdown due to low voltage.

Overvoltage protection
To protect more sensitive loads against overvoltages, the battery protection to disconnect them if the DC voltage exceeds 16 V and 32 V respectively.

Spark-proof
Instead of relays, MOSFET switches are used and therefore no sparking occurs.

Delayed Alarm
The alarm can be activated if the battery voltage drops below the preset cut-off level for more than 12 seconds. Restarting the engine therefore does not activate the alarm. The alarm output is a short-circuit protected open collector output which is connected to the minus pole with a maximum current of 50 mA. The alarm output is often used to activate a buzzer, an LED or a relay.

Delayed Load Disconnection and Delayed Reconnection
The load will disconnect 90 seconds after the alarm is activated. If the battery voltage increases to the threshold value again within this time limit (after the engine has been started for example), the load will not be disconnected. The load will reconnect 30 seconds after the battery voltage has increased to more than the preset reconnect value.
