VICTRON ENERGY BMS300200200, is a VE.Bus BMS and VE.Bus BMS V2 are Battery Management Systems (BMS) designed to interact with and protect a single or multiple Victron Lithium Battery Smart 12.8 V & 25.6 V (LiFePO4 or LFP) in systems that have Victron inverters or inverter/chargers with VE.Bus communication. It monitors and protects the batteries against over- and undervoltage in all individual cells, as well as against over- or undertemperature.

Based on the battery or batteries' status, the BMS will:

  • Generate a pre-alarm signal to warn of impending cell undervoltage.
  • Disable inverting in VE.Bus inverters or inverter/chargers via VE.Bus and disable other loads via the “Load Disconnect” terminal if cell undervoltage occurs.
  • Disable charging in VE.Bus inverters or inverter/chargers VE.Bus and disable other chargers via the “Charge Disconnect” terminal if cell overvoltage or under- or overtemperature occurs.

The “original version” of the VE.Bus BMS is best suited for systems without a GX device. The “next generation” of VE.Bus BMS V2 has additional features such as:

  • Remote on/off terminals.
  • Ability to disable VE.Direct and VE.Can solar chargers via a GX device.
  • Allow control of VE.Bus inverter/chargers from multiple devices such as Digital Multi Control, VE.Bus Smart dongle and/or a GX device.
  • Extra power input and output terminals that allow a GX device to remain powered in the event of a system shutdown.
