System reset of Axiom PRO & 2PRO

Important!
Before performing a reset on your multifunction display (MFD), we strongly recommend that you save your settings, waypoints, routes, and tracks. Now is the time to back them up to a Micro SD card (instructions can be found in the user manual). Once a reset has been performed, they will no longer be in the MFD memory. If you have C-Zone or Trigentic Digital Switching files in your MFD system, do not perform this reset as it will erase all configuration files. You must ensure that you have the correct configuration files to load back into your MFD before performing the reset.

Save logs:

  • Before performing a reset on your multifunction display (MFD), we strongly recommend that you save your system logs to your MicroSD card.
  • You can then send the saved logs to Raymarine for investigation, to help us improve our system upgrades in the future.
  1. Create a support case on Ask Raymarine.
  2. Attach the crash logs to the support case (see below for procedure).
  3. Include a summary of the issues you are experiencing with your MFD that led you to perform a reset.
  4. Try to include a brief overview of the equipment installed on the vessel, including cartography used.

Once you have completed the guide above or if you do not need to save logs, you can proceed with the Power-On Reset as shown below.

How to perform a Power-On Reset on an AXIOM PRO & AXIOM 2 PRO:

  1. Turn off the AXIOM-Pro / AXIOM2-Pro at the control panel (not on the unit). The unit must have no voltage on its power cable.
  2. The next step, immediately after turning on the power to the MFD, hold down both the BACK button and the page change button (see images below).

  3. If the command was recognized when the MFD started up, you should see the screen below:

  4. Now scroll down with the cursor buttons on the rotary knob until the option "Wipe data/factory reset" is selected.
  5. Press OK to confirm the command.
  6. Select YES to confirm the reset.
  7. As soon as "Data wipe complete" appears, select "Reboot system now".
