General monitoring & recording

Maretron's general monitoring products are not associated with a single ship system, but the products are associated with monitoring a variety of systems. Take for example the Switch Indicator Module (SIM100), which can be used for monitoring both safety and security systems. Security monitoring with SIM100 includes magnetic door sensors, motion sensors or other switch activated security sensors. In terms of security systems, the SIM100 can be used for smoke, carbon monoxide and combustible gas detection.

Another good example of a general display is the temperature module (TMP100). The TMP100 can be used for simple air temperature measurement such as cabin temperature, or it can be used to measure engine exhaust temperature so you know if you are running the engine to lean or rich. Additional general monitoring products include a data recorder (VDR100) that keeps track of everything that happens on board your vessel. You can save a year's worth of data on a single USB stick for review at any time.
