ICOM 81510, features a Black Box VHF with built-in AIS receiver and hailer output that is small and compact in size, can be installed discreetly anywhere and is a good solution when space is limited. All functions, including DSC, can be performed from the CommandMic (HM-195) and the RF unit can be installed out of sight, up to 60 feet (18.3 m)* from the CommandMic (Two OPC-1541 extra cables are required for 60 feet installation.).

VHF radio available in your favorite places
On the IC-M510BB, up to three CommandMics can be connected, providing access to VHF radio and intercom functions in your favorite places. When using the intercom function, you can choose either one-to-all or one-to-one communication.

Integrated AIS receiver monitors other vessel movements
The integrated AIS receiver helps you locate vessels heading towards your boat and provides a warning to avoid collisions. You can make an individual DSC call to a selected vessel from the AIS displays.

Two-minute voice recording function for playback of last calls
The last call voice recording function automatically saves up to two minutes of an incoming call, meaning you won't miss incoming messages.

Active Noise Cancellation
Active noise cancellation digitally removes background noise from both transmitting and receiving audio, providing clear communication in a noisy maritime environment.

Built-in Class D DSC, emergency button can be a lifesaver in an emergency
With just one press of the emergency button, the built-in DSC (Digital Selective Calling) system can digitally transmit emergency information to the coast guard and/or other vessels. The DSC watch function continuously monitors the DSC channel (Ch. 70) for increased safety and security.

One-way hailer
The radio has a built-in 13W amplifier that increases the light output to an external hailer speaker. When connected to an external hailer speaker, you can monitor radio traffic on deck or, for example, the beach. You can also send foghorn patterns from the hailer speaker.
