VICTRON ENERGY SDTG2400504, Victron Skylla-TG 24/50 GMDSS charger has been designed to provide all required monitoring and alarm data. Both the battery and the GMDSS system are connected directly to the charger. Data and alarms are displayed on a digital panel (VE.Net GMDSS panel can be ordered separately). A standard 8-conductor UTP cable connects the charger to the panel.
GMDSS
Global Maritime Distress & Safety System (GMDSS) was developed by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) to improve maritime and safety communications.
Power supply
Skylla TG has proven to be an excellent battery charger and power supply for GMDSS applications. When using a standard Skylla charger, additional equipment is needed to perform the monitoring and alarm functions required for GMDSS.

Victron Skylla GMDSS chargers have been designed to provide all necessary monitoring and alarm data. Both the battery and the GMDSS system are directly connected to the charger. Data and alarms are displayed on a digital panel (VE.Net GMDSS panel, ordered separately). A standard eight-wire UTP cable connects the charger to the panel.
No adjustments needed
The entire system is "click and run": the panels are pre-programmed for GMDSS functionality. A simple and intuitive menu allows changing settings if needed.
Battery life
The Skylla GMDSS charger has a built-in battery control. The battery capacity is fully monitored, the panel can even indicate "time to go" in case of power failure.

The charging voltage can be precisely adjusted for all VRLA or flooded battery systems.
