VICTRON ENERGY BMS210055000, Smart BMS 12/200 is an all-in-one battery management system for Victron's lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) smart batteries. It is specially designed for 12 V systems with a 12 V generator such as in vehicles and boats.
It combines a current limiter, battery combiner and battery protection in a robust and compact solution with which you can safely connect all kinds of 12 V alternators (and starter batteries), loads and chargers to Smart Lithium batteries.
Smart BMS 12/200 monitors and protects each individual battery cell in the battery (or battery bank) and disconnects the alternator, the charging source or DC loads in case of low battery voltage, high battery voltage or over temperature.
The dedicated generator connection sets a current limit and directs the current in one direction from the alternator into the battery, so generators of all sizes (and starter batteries) safely can be connected to the Smart Lithium batteries (or battery bank) and the starter battery is protected from unreasonable discharge.
The BMS is also equipped with Bluetooth for monitoring and configuration, a connector for remote on/off function, to turn off BMS (and the system) via a remote switch, and a pre-alarm switch, which emits a warning signal before the BMS disconnects the batteries from the system.
