VICTRON ENERGY BMS210055000, the Smart BMS 12/200 is an all-in-one battery management system for Victron's Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) Smart Batteries. It is specifically designed for 12 V systems with a 12 V alternator such as in vehicles and boats.
It combines a current limiter, battery combiner, and battery protector in one robust and compact solution, allowing you to safely connect all types of 12 V alternators (and starter batteries), loads, and chargers to Smart Lithium batteries.
The Smart BMS 12/200 monitors and protects each individual battery cell in the battery (or battery bank) and disconnects the alternator, charging source, or DC loads in case of low battery voltage, high battery voltage, or over-temperature.
The dedicated alternator connection sets a current limit and controls the current in one direction from the alternator into the battery, so that alternators of all sizes (and starter batteries) can be safely connected to the Smart Lithium batteries (or battery bank) and the starter battery is protected from unreasonable discharge.
The BMS is also equipped with Bluetooth for monitoring and configuration, a connector for remote on/off function, to switch off the BMS (and system) via a remote switch, and a pre-alarm contact, which emits a warning signal before the BMS disconnects the batteries from the system.
