YACHT DEVICES YDGS-01N, is an exhaust gas temperature sensor for NMEA 2000 that measures extremely hot gases and liquids between 0 and 800°C. It can also be configured to display other temperatures. The device can control NMEA 2000 switch devices that support PGN 127502, which makes it possible to automatically start e.g. a fan if the temperature is too high.
The temperature is measured with a thermocouple temperature sensor that has a 90 cm heat-resistant cable with 1/4" - 20 UNC thread. The sensor is mounted in the exhaust manifold where a threaded hole is taken up. The accuracy on the sensor is +/- 5.5°C up to 330°C and +/- 11.5°C at 800°C.
Note that the plotter must support exhaust gas temperatures, PGN 130316, to display temperatures above 382°. (If the plotter is older and does not support PGN 130316, e.g. PGN 130310, 130311 or 130312 can be used, but with a maximum temperature display of 382°).
YDGS-01 can can be updated and programmed in three different ways. Display of data is via a display that can show exhaust gas temperature. It is also possible to use the Yacht Devices NMEA 2000 Wifi Gateway, which has built-in web gauges.
YDGS-01 is available in two versions:
- YDGS-01N with NMEA 2000 male connector
- YDGS-01R with SeaTalk NG connector li>
