System reset of Element-S or Element-HV

Resetting your Element multifunction display may be necessary if you experience issues with the device or if you want to restore it to factory settings. Follow these steps to perform a reset:

1. Power off the Element MFD.
   
   
2. Press and hold the HOME button:
   
   
   
   
3. While holding the HOME button, press the POWER button to power up the unit. Note: You may need to completely remove the power from the power cable (turn off the circuit breaker) and then reapply power to the unit while holding down the HOME button and pressing the POWER key:
   
   
   
4. This will bring the unit up into the recovery page:
   
   
   
   
5. Release the HOME button and scroll down to "Wipe data/factory reset":
   
   
   
6. Press the OK button:
   
   
   
   
7. When prompted, select YES to wipe all user data:
   
   
   
   
8. After this process has completed, press the OK button to reboot the system now.
   
   
   
9. The Element will now boot up as a new unit into the startup wizard:
