It is recommended that the power and ground wires for the radar cable be inspected to ensure they are free from corrosion, that the jaws of any connectors clamp onto the wire's conductor rather than the wire's insulation, and that the connections are tight. If this is the case and the problem persists with a fully charged battery bank, it appears that the radar has suffered a fault.
The most common cause of the reported problem is that the radar is not receiving sufficient power. It is recommended that the vessel be connected to shore power, that its batteries be allowed to achieve a fully charged status, and then, while still connected to shore power, that the system be tested. If the problem persists and the system has been installed by a certified Raymarine installer, it is recommended that the installer be contacted to address this issue.
If you have installed it yourself and the radome was purchased less than 30 days ago, it is recommended that the radome be replaced by your dealer. If the radome was purchased more than 30 days ago, it is recommended that the radar be sent to Raymarine Repair at www.customer.raymarine.com for bench testing/service.
