ICOM IC-M94DE, is the first of Icom's portable VHF models with a built-in AIS receiver. With AIS, you get information about marine traffic directly on the display. The radio also has built-in GPS, active noise cancellation, and DSC functionality with its own receiver to monitor channel 70. The IC-M94DE has an intuitive user interface and a large LCD that makes operation easy. Below the display are function buttons that facilitate navigation in the menu system.
Built-in DSC function with dedicated receiver
AIS receiver and DSC function provide additional safety at sea. With the integrated AIS receiver, information about vessel traffic is displayed. With the AIS target call function, you can easily create a DSC individual call. Distress calls can be made with the button on the back panel and it is equipped with its own receiver to monitor DSC channel 70.
Active noise cancellation
The built-in active noise cancellation reduces background noise by up to 90%, providing clear and crisp sound in noisy marine environments, for both outgoing and incoming audio.
1500mW (typ.) speaker
The large speaker delivers loud and clear sound even in noisy environments.
Built-in GPS
The built-in and highly sensitive GPS receiver shows the current position and can be used for DSC calls.
Float’n Flash function and MOB
If the IC-M94DE falls into the water, it will automatically start signaling with a flashing light and an audible alarm. If you simultaneously press the alarm button, the radio will send out a MOB (Man Over Board) alarm signal, a good extra support for boaters who fall into the sea.
