VICTRON ENERGY PCH024025001, Phoenix battery charger 24V/25A 2+1 outputs. Phoenix battery charger has an adaptive 4 -stage loading characteristic: bulk - absorption - flow - storage. Two full power outputs and one 4 A output. Universal input voltage 90-265 V, 50/60 Hz. The Phoenix charger offers a microprocessor controlled 'custom' battery handling system which can be pre-programmed to suit different types of batteries. The adaptation function will automatically optimize the process in relation to the way the battery is used.

4-stage charging: max charging current – equalizing charging – post-charging – maintenance charging
The Phoenix battery charger is characterized by a microprocessor-controlled and customizable charging system that can be preset to suit different types of batteries. The adaptive feature will automatically optimize the charging process in relation to how the battery is used.

Correct charging: variable charging time
When only small discharges occur (e.g. when a pleasure boat is connected to shore current) you only need a short recharge to prevent overcharging the battery. After a deep discharge  , the post-charge time will automatically increase to ensure that the battery is fully charged.

Prevents damage caused by heavy gassing: BatterySafe mode
If one, to quickly charge a battery, have selected high charging current and high equalization voltage, the Phoenix charger will prevent damage that can occur in heavy gassing by automatically limiting the voltage increase when the gassing voltage is reached.

Reduces maintenance and aging when the battery is not in use
Storage mode (see fig. 1 & 2 below) Maintenance charging starts when the battery has not been discharged for 24 hours. The trickle charge voltage has been set at 2.2V per cell (13.2V for a 12V battery) to reduce gassing and corrosion of the positive plates. Once a week, the charge goes back to the equalization stage to "even out" the battery. This feature prevents stratification of the electrolyte and sulphation, a major cause of premature ageing.

Increasing battery life
Temperature compensation Each Phoenix charger is supplied with a temperature sensor. When connected, the charging voltage will automatically decrease as the battery temperature rises. This feature is especially recommended for sealed batteries and where considerable temperature changes can be expected.

Voltage sensor
To compensate voltage losses in cables  due to cable resistance, Phoenix chargers are equipped with a voltage sensor, so that the battery always receives the correct charging voltage.

Computer connection
All Phoenix chargers are equipped with an RS-485 computer connection. What you need to connect to the computer is our computer link MK3-USB (see under accessories). Together with the software VEConfigure, which can be downloaded for free from our website www.victronenergy.com, you can customize all parameters of the charger. This also applies to output voltage and frequency, settings for over and under voltage and programming of the relay which can, for example, be used for various alarm functions or to start a power plant.
