The SmartSolar RS solar charge controller connects to a solar panel rated between 80 and 450 V Voc and efficiently charges your 48 V battery bank with either 100 A or 200 A. The charging settings are fully programmable and can be set for different battery types such as lead acid, lithium etc.
SmartSolar RS charge controller can be remotely controlled and configured with Bluetooth via the VictronConnect app. This makes it possible to set up the device, manage it and get overview information, such as battery voltage and current, solar cell voltage and current, historical data and trends.
SmartSolar The RS charge controller is equipped with VE.Can bus ports. They make it possible to communicate with additional SmartSolar RS & VE.Can MPPT devices. The devices that are added are "chained" together with an RJ45 cable.
When connected, all individual charge controllers synchronize their charge modes. They can also send their monitoring data via the same cable to a GX device (such as Cerbo GX).
If the GX device is connected to the Internet, the portal provides Victron Remote Management (VRM) access to the full capabilities of your SmartSolar RS charge controllers.
If your installation is connected to a GX device and the internet, the VRM portal gives you full access to the full capabilities of your MPPT device, anytime, anywhere preferably, free of charge.
For remote installations - even where there is no internet connection nearby - it may be possible to monitor your MPPT by connecting the GlobalLink 520.
The SmartSolar RS charge controller is equipped with a display on the front panel. The display reads battery volts, charging current and voltages from both panels separately, including instantaneous and total numbers as well as device status including any error codes.
SmartSolar RS charge controller is equipped with a programmable relay and options for remote temperature and voltage control. The remote input accepts Victron smallBMS and other types of BMS with allow charging signals.
