VICTRON ENERGY BPR122022000, is a battery protector 12/24V-220A that disconnects the battery from non-essential loads before it is fully discharged (which would damage the battery) or before it is insufficient to start the engine. When you use Bluetooth to program Smart BatteryProtect, any levels of engagement and disengagement can be set. Alternatively, one of the nine pre-defined cut-in and cut-out levels can be set with the programming pin (see manual). Bluetooth can be deactivated if necessary. BatteryProtect is not intended for reverse current from charging sources.

Protects the battery against overdischarge and can be used as an on/off switch
The battery protector Smart BatteryProtect disconnects the battery from non-essential loads before it is fully discharged (which would damage the battery) or before it is insufficient to start the engine. The on/off input can be used as an on/off switch for the system.

Voltage range 12/24 volts
Smart BatteryProtect automatically detects the system voltage only once.< /p>

Bluetooth: hassle-free programming
When using Bluetooth to program the Smart BatteryProtect, any levels for switching on and off can be set. Alternatively, one of the nine pre-defined cut-in and cut-out levels can be set with the programming pin (see manual). Bluetooth can be deactivated if needed.

Extra low power consumption
It is important in the case of lithium-ion batteries, especially after a shutdown due to low voltage. For further information please see our Lithium Ion Battery Fact Sheet and the VE.Bus BMS Manual.

Overvoltage Protection
To protect more sensitive loads against overvoltage, the battery protection will disconnect them if the DC voltage exceeds 16.3 V and 32.6 V respectively.

Instinctive
Instead of relays, MOSFET switches are used and therefore no sparking.

Delayed alarm
The alarm can be activated if the battery voltage drops below the preset cut-off level for more than 12 seconds. Restarting the engine therefore does not activate the alarm. The alarm output is a short-circuit protected open collector output which is connected to the minus pole with a maximum current of 50 mA. The alarm output is often used to activate a buzzer, an LED or a relay.

Delayed Load Disconnection and Delayed Reconnection
The load will disconnect 90 seconds after the battery voltage drops below the preset the value. If the battery voltage increases to the threshold value again within this time limit (after the engine has been started for example), the load will not be disconnected. The load will reconnect 30 seconds after the battery voltage has increased to more than the preset reconnect value.
