VICTRON ENERGY BAT412101085, is a battery in Victron's AGM range that offers a very low internal resistance. This makes them especially suitable for applications with high current discharge, such as inverters, bow thrusters, and winches.
The use of high-purity materials and lead/calcium grids ensures that both AGM and GEL products have particularly low self-discharge, so they will not discharge over long periods without charging.
The battery comes with M8 drilled, flat copper terminals, which ensures the best possible connection contact and eliminates the need for battery terminals. The batteries meet both CE and UL specifications for fire-safe ABS plastic enclosures and come with Victron's 2-year worldwide warranty.
Low self-discharge
Due to the use of lead-calcium grids and high-purity materials, Victron VRLA batteries can be stored for long periods of time without charging. The self-discharge rate is less than 2% per month at 20°C. Self-discharge doubles for every 10°C increase in temperature. Victron VRLA batteries can therefore be stored for up to a year without charging, if stored under cool conditions.
Exceptional recovery after discharge
Victron VRLA batteries have exceptional discharge recovery, even after deep or prolonged discharge. However, repeated instances of deep and prolonged discharge have a very negative effect on the lifespan of all lead-acid batteries, and Victron batteries are no exception.
Battery discharge characteristics
The nominal capacity of Victron AGM and Gel Deep Cycle batteries refers to 20 hours of discharge, in other words: a discharge current of 0.05 C. The nominal capacity of Victron Tubular Plate Long Life batteries refers to 10 hours of discharge. The effective capacity decreases with increasing discharge current. Note that the capacity reduction becomes even faster with constant power loads, e.g., an inverter.
