As this is paid for by authorities, it is free to use the service. Wherever you are, at sea or on land, the rescueME PLB1 gives you the assurance that global emergency services can be alerted at the touch of a button. The PLB1 can be used with one hand in the most demanding situations. A simple spring-loaded flap protects the activation button from accidental use. When the rescueME PLB1 is activated, your position and ID are sent to a rescue center via satellites. The emergency services closest to you are immediately notified that you are in distress along with your position to enable a quick rescue mission.
