Fritidsskepparen - The Navigation Book belongs to the Swedish classic among navigation books. The first copy was available as early as 1969, then authored by Sten Ramberg. Since then, the book has been published in numerous new editions and printings. Since 2008, I am the new author. The publisher Norstedts and my ambition is for you to have an up-to-date book with the latest in navigation. The latest printing was in January 2021, as stated on the book's front cover.

The fourth updated edition has been released, fully adapted to the new rules developed by the Board for Boating Education. The book is one of the most comprehensive on the subject of navigation and seamanship, pedagogical and richly illustrated with drawings and photos. The book also contains a large number of practice exercises with answers. Fritidsskepparen definitely has a given place on board.

The Navigation Book contains everything you need to know to pass the theoretical exams for the Boating License and Coastal Skipper Certificate according to NFB's new knowledge requirements, but works just as well for self-study and for refreshing old knowledge.
