With Steiner's High-Definition Optics you get exceptional clarity, high contrast and sharp details even in poor visibility conditions. The Auto-Focus system provides razor-sharp images from 20 meters to infinity without the need to constantly adjust the focus - perfect when you need to react quickly at sea. The generous XL field of view of a full 140 m/1000 m gives you full control of your surroundings and makes it easy to spot obstacles or other vessels in good time.
Equipped with an integrated HD-stabilized compass that provides accurate, stable and easy-to-read heading information directly in the field of view. The compass has user-friendly illumination and a built-in precision reticle for judging the distance and size of objects.
Extreme robustness for marine environments
The Commander series is built for extreme conditions. The fiber-reinforced Makrolon® housing makes the binoculars both lightweight and extremely shock-resistant. A unique floating prism suspension protects the optics from shocks and vibrations, ensuring maintained precision for decades. The binoculars are water-pressure-tight down to 10 meters, nitrogen-filled to prevent fogging, and operate in temperatures from –40 to +80 °C. The hydrophobic Nano-Protection surface treatment repels water, snow, salt, and dirt, making the lens easy to keep clear even in harsh weather.
The compass module is liquid-filled and shock-absorbed, which means that the bearing remains stable and easy to read even in heavy seas.
Ergonomic and safe handling
The new Open-Bridge system provides a stable one-handed grip and makes the binoculars easy to maneuver even when the boat is moving. Soft and comfortable eyecups and an improved attachment for the carrying strap contribute to high comfort during long sessions. In addition, a complete set of premium accessories is included such as a bag, float strap, rain cover and lens cap. The combination of Auto-Focus and the integrated compass provides quick access to both visibility and navigation data without having to let go of the grip.
