YACHT DEVICES YDTA-01R, is a tank adapter that converts data from existing resistive level sensors to SeaTalkNG so that the tanks can be displayed on a SeaTalkNG screen or plotter. The adapter can be programmed to transmit one of these seven tank values available for NMEA 2000: diesel, gasoline, oil, fresh water, black water or livewell tank. The tank number can also be programmed: up to 16 tank types are allowed in an NMEA 2000 network. The YDTA-01 can be used with European sensors (10 to 180 ohm), American sensors (240 to 33 ohm), Japanese sensors (0 to 310 ohm) or other non-standard sensors that have resistance less than 400 ohm. The YDTA-01 can be installed as a standalone unit, together with an existing instrument (1- and 2-coil gauges are supported), or together with a Volvo Penta engine interface box (MDI). If you have a combined gauge where you press a button to display values, it also works.

The tank sensors can be calibrated with 12 points to provide accurate values for tanks with irregular shapes. Extra resistance in the sensor cabling can be compensated in the settings. The YDTA-01 has a MicroSD card slot used for configuration, updating, diagnostics and data recording. No special software is needed. You only need a device (computer or mobile) with a MicroSD reader and a simple text editor. The YDTA-01 can store tank data on a MicroSD card, but it is also possible to record more with a Voyage Recorder to store data from the entire network. It is possible to use a Wifi adapter to view all tanks in a web browser. The YDTA-01 can also be configured with a special command in the installation description field, which can be accessed from most modern 2000 plotters or displays. This can also be accessed via the CAN Log Viewer program through a USB or Wifi adapter and a computer.
