YACHT DEVICES YDTA-01R, is a tank adapter that converts data from existing resistive level sensors to SeaTalkNG so that the tanks can be displayed on a SeaTalkNG screen or plotter. The adapter can be programmed to transmit one of these seven tank values available for NMEA 2000: diesel, gasoline, oil, fresh water, black water or bait tank. The tank number is also programmable: up to 16 tank types are allowed in a NMEA 2000 network. The YDTA-01 can be used with European transducers (10 to 180 ohms), American transducers (240 to 33 ohms), Japanese transducers (0 to 310 ohms), or other non-standard transducers that have resistance less than 400 ohms. The YDTA-01 can be installed as a standalone unit, together with an existing instrument (1- and 2-coil gauges supported), or together with a Volvo Penta engine interface (MDI) box. If you have a combined gauge where you press a button to display values, that works too.
The tank sensors can be calibrated with 12 points to give accurate values for tanks with irregular shapes. Extra resistance in the sensor cable can be compensated for in the settings. The YDTA-01 has a MicroSD card slot that is used to configure, update, diagnose and record data. No special program is needed. You just need a device (computer or mobile) with a MicroSD reader and a simple text editor. The YDTA-01 can store tank data on a MicroSD card, but it is also possible to record more than one Voyage Recorder to store data from the entire network. It is possible to use a Wifi adapter to see all tanks in a browser. The YDTA-01 can also be configured with a special command in the setup description field, which can be accessed from most modern 2000 plotters or displays. It is also possible to access this via the CAN Log Viewer program through a USB or Wifi adapter and a computer.
