VICTRON ENERGY ASS030543020, GlobalLink 520 is a device that provides 4G LTE-M connectivity to all VE.Direct enabled devices without monthly fees or subscriptions, for the first five years. The GlobalLink 520 has an internal antenna and an SMA connector for an optional external antenna, such as the Panorama Blade Antenna 5G-4G-3G 5 dBi SMA-male.
Global connectivity with 4G LTE-M
LTE-M is an abbreviation for LTE Cat-M1 or Long Term Evolution (4G), category M1. This cellular technology is designed to connect IoT (Internet of Things) devices to existing 4G towers while using low energy. LTE-M supports handovers and roaming, making it perfect for use in moving vehicles, such as an RV. Check https://1nce.com/en/coverage/ to see if LTE-M is officially confirmed to be available in your area. Coverage is increasing weekly as local providers launch support. Your purchase includes 5 years of connectivity, so you don't have to worry about getting a separate data package and SIM card.
Easy monitoring and control of systems
Your GlobalLink 520 comes with two VE.Direct ports that allow you to connect up to two VE.Direct devices such as a BMV battery monitor and/or an MPPT solar charge controller directly to VRM. With two digital inputs that also act as pulse counters and a remote controllable relay, this is a perfect solution for monitoring and controlling your installation. A new feature is also the ability to connect up to 12 BT devices. For more information, see blog post.
Built-in antenna
The GlobalLink 520 comes with a built-in antenna designed to work worldwide. If you still need better reception or want to install your module in, for example, a utility vehicle, it is also possible to mount an external antenna.
Victron Remote Management
The online portal Victron Remote Management (VRM) gives you access to your installation, anywhere, anytime. In VRM, you can check the status of your connected products, view detailed historical graphs of your energy, generate detailed analysis reports, and even configure automatic alarms if something goes wrong.
