MARETRON NBE100-01, is an NMEA 2000® bus extender that allows the number of devices, trunk cable length, and total drop cable length in an NMEA 2000® network to be expanded. The NBE100 solves data errors and other electrical problems that arise if the specifications/limitations of a network are exceeded.

An NMEA 2000® network must not consist of more than 50 devices on a single network, have a maximum of 250 meters of trunk cable (mid/heavy), and a maximum of 78 meters of total drop cable length. If a network exceeds these requirements, the networks are divided into two or more networks. Each network must have power supply and terminations. An NBE100 is connected between the networks. Data is then transferred between the networks, and it is perceived as one logical network. This avoids electrical problems that can prevent data from arriving or affect the network so that it does not work at all.

Features

  • Combines data from multiple networks into one logical NMEA 2000® network
  • Allows exceeding the limit of max 50 devices
  • Allows exceeding the limit of max 250 meters of trunk cable (mid/heavy)
  • Allows exceeding the limit of max 78 meters of total drop cable length
  • Ensures that prioritized data is transmitted first in the networks
  • Allows all NMEA 2000 devices to operate as if they were still on a single NMEA 2000 network
  • Optical isolation of network segments increases the quality of the networks
