MARETRON NBE100-01, is a NMEA 2000® bus extender that makes it possible to extend the number of devices, trunk cable length and total drop cable length in a NMEA 2000® network. The NBE100 solves data errors and other electrical problems that occur when exceeding the specifications/limitations of a network.
A NMEA 2000® network must not consist of more than 50 units on a single network, have a maximum of 250 meters trunk cable (mid/heavy) and a maximum of 78 meters total drop cable length. If a network exceeds these requirements, the networks are split into two or more networks. Each network must have power supply and terminations. An NBE100 is connected between the networks. Then data is transferred between the networks, and it is experienced as a logical network. This avoids electrical problems that can prevent data from arriving or affect the network so that it does not work at all
Features
- Combines data from multiple networks into a logical NMEA 2000® network
- Enables to exceed the limitation of max 50 units
- Enables to exceed the limitation of max 250 meters of trunk cable (mid/heavy)
- Makes it possible to exceed the limitation with max 78 meter total drop cable length
- Ensures that priority data is transferred in the networks first
- Allows all NMEA 2000 devices to operate as if they were still on a single NMEA 2000 network
- Optical isolation of the network segments increases the quality of the networks
