MARETRON WSO200, is a NMEA2000 marine grade ultrasonic weather station that measures wind speed, wind direction, air temperature, barometric pressure, relative humidity, wind chill factor, heat index and dew point.
The wind measurement is calculated with using six ultrasonic transducers in a delta formation, which means there are no moving parts that can wear out or get stuck in any rig. Unlike mechanical wind sensors and weather stations, the WSO200 is not affected by common phenomena such as gear wear, salt, dirt or bird droppings that can result in incorrect readings.
Accurate wind measurement is obtained at slopes of up to 30°, which can occur in sailboats or heavy seas. This makes the new Maretron weather station a trailblazer for the recreational boating market.
WSO200 is NMEA 2000 certified. When combined with a Matetron DSM or TSM display or any device running N2KView, all data is available via a simple plug and play experience. Add a Maretron depth, speed and temperature transducer (DST110), a Maretron GPS receiver (GPS200) and a Maretron compass (SSC300) to get true wind direction and speed relative to the boat or land.
The WSO200 has a common 1"-14 standard thread and is waterproof to IP67.
