MARETRON WSO200, is an NMEA2000 marine-grade ultrasonic weather station that measures wind speed, wind direction, air temperature, barometric pressure, relative humidity, wind chill factor, heat index, and dew point.
Wind measurement is calculated using six ultrasonic sensors in a delta formation, meaning there are no moving parts that can wear out or get stuck in any rigging. Unlike mechanical wind sensors and weather stations, the WSO200 is not affected by common phenomena such as gear wear, salt, dirt, or bird droppings that can result in inaccurate readings.
Accurate wind measurement is obtained at inclinations of up to 30°, which can occur in sailboats or heavy seas. This makes the new Maretron weather station a pioneer for the recreational boating market.
The WSO200 is NMEA 2000 certified. When combined with a Matetron DSM or TSM display or any device running N2KView, all data is available through a simple plug-and-play experience. Add a Maretron depth, speed, and temperature sensor (DST110), a Maretron GPS receiver (GPS200), and a Maretron compass (SSC300) to get true wind direction and speed relative to the boat or to land.
The WSO200 has a standard 1"-14 thread and is waterproof to IP67.
