The ultimate solution for distributing navigation, safety, and device data onboard
The Actisense PRO-NDC-1E2K is the first of its kind and industry-leading, type-approved NMEA 0183 multiplexer, NMEA 2000, and Ethernet gateway, designed to revolutionize marine data management. This device offers numerous advantages that make it an indispensable tool for both leisure and commercial marine applications.
Seamless integration of legacy and modern instruments
One of the biggest advantages of the PRO-NDC-1E2K is its ability to seamlessly integrate legacy and modern instruments, solving many interconnectivity challenges. It supports five opto-isolated NMEA 0183 inputs and two ISO-Drive NMEA 0183 outputs, ensuring all connected devices can communicate without interference. The high level of isolation also protects against harmful ground loops, a common cause of equipment failure in marine environments.
Support for NMEA 2000 and bi-directional data conversion
The device includes an NMEA 2000 M12 connection that enables direct connection to an NMEA 2000 network. Thanks to the built-in Actisense conversion library, the PRO-NDC-1E2K supports bi-directional data conversion. This means NMEA 0183 devices can share data with NMEA 2000 instruments without needing an external gateway or additional products.
Ethernet connectivity and high-speed data transfer
The device also offers bi-directional data transfer via Ethernet. This enables sending and receiving multiple data formats, such as NMEA 0183, RAW, and Actisense NGT. The Ethernet connection eliminates issues with transfer speeds and bandwidth, as Ethernet is up to 40,000 times faster than a serial connection (depending on Ethernet speed).
Simple configuration
Configuring the PRO-NDC-1E2K is user-friendly thanks to its web-based graphical interface. This eliminates the need for manual text commands, making setup simple even for users with limited technical experience. The device can be connected to a network via Ethernet and accessed by entering its IP address or serial number in a web browser.
Data filtering and routing
To optimize bandwidth and ensure only relevant data is transmitted, the device offers both simple data filtering and advanced routing. This is particularly useful in complex marine environments where multiple data sources are in use. Filtering can be set at the sentence level, allowing only desired data to be transmitted.
