How to connect your NMEA 2000 network to TimeZero

Connecting your NMEA 2000 network to a PC or laptop using TimeZero couldn't be easier with our NGT-1 NMEA 2000 to PC interface. NGT-1 -USB takes plug-and-play simplicity to the next level.

The intelligent device makes every current NMEA 2000 PGN can be transferred from the network to your PC, without manual configuration required. Thanks to the way the device has been developed, it is up to the connected application to configure the device. This means a much faster installation process for you as a user as the PC application will activate all the necessary PGNs.

Combine this with Windows- the driver installation method, where the necessary drivers are installed automatically (provided the computer has an internet connection*), and the process really doesn't take more than a couple of minutes.

TimeZero has made this even faster by identifying NGT-1-USB as their NMEA 2000 Gateway, which means their application will identify NGT-1-USB and know what it is. There is an automatic configuration option within TimeZero, where the program will scan the computer for connected devices and recognize those that are NMEA 2000 to PC interfaces.

This allows the data you want to be defined and the source it comes from if needed.

By default, NGT-1-USB with 115200 baud, which is the maximum baud rate TimeZero can operate with the NGT-1. Do not increase NGT-1 to 230400 baud for use with TZ.

Note: Not all applications can support 230400 baud, so check with the developer first.

As of April 2022, NGT-1-ISO is not compatible with TimeZero.
