Raymarine introduces the Cyclone™ Solid-State CHIRP Pulse Compression Radar
Raymarine |26/10, 2021
Striking design, extreme capacity and vulnerability are the hallmarks of this next-generation open-antenna radar.
Fareham, UK – October 26, 2021 – Raymarine presents Cyclone™, the latest radar series with The open antenna, designed and manufactured to give you safety at sea to handle the toughest of conditions, including; clear advantages in the hunt for fish and navigate safely in heavily trafficked waters. The brand new Cyclone radar is available with antennas on 3, 4 and 6 feet and with två power options for each size. Each model features innovative detection technology, including the Cyclone's wing, which elevates the Cyclone into a class of its own.
Breakthrough Design
Cyclone's aggressive design, inspired by airplane wings, appeals to even the most style-conscious boaters at the same time as it brings with it new levels of functionality and performance. Cyclones's lower profile (just 33.5 cm high) means more flexibility in boat architecture and more customizable installation options. Cyclone is the lightest radar with antenna available, the 3 inch models weigh only 23 kilos. The efficient, compact options mean that Cyclone's unique open-antenna performance can be used in almost any boat.
Maximum capacity and awareness at all speeds >
Cyclone ä is designed for extreme conditions, best in class with its wind rating of över 100 knots. A fast rotation speed onå 60 rpm provides 360 degree situational awareness and precise tracking of up to 100 distinct ARPA targets in real time, even with the boat at top speed. Accurate imaging of the radar is achieved with the help of CHIRP pulse compression and beam-sharpening technology, best in its class when it comes to target separation and long range. With Cyclone, bettors can simultaneously get maximum visibility of targets in the vicinity and on distance with the help of Raymarine's RangeFusion™ technology. The RangeFusion technology combines targets on short distance with short pulse with target on; Long range with a long pulse, providing a single radar image that is easier to interpret.
Fighting, fishing intelligence p>
When it's time to find fish and get there fast, Cyclone's bird cell identifies distant flocks of seabirds or shoals of baitfish. The wing intelligently optimizes the radar sensitivity and adjusts the beam from the sea to target the sailfish, which gives the fisherman the information needed to locate catch fish.
Choose your Cyclone
Cyclone family delivers six powerful solid-state options for long-term; ckvidd and all weather conditions. There are twoå effect versions of the Cyclone radar in sizes 3 inches, 4 inches or 6 inches: Cyclone with 55 watts/6 kW equivalent magnetron performance and Cyclone Pro with 110 watts/12 kW equivalent magnetron performance. All Cyclone models are best integrated with Raymarine's multifunction displays Axiom, Axiom+, Axiom Pro and Axiom XL.
Store prices vary from SEK 84,990 incl. VAT to SEK 114,990 incl. VAT. Cyclone radar with open antenna is backed by Raymarine's industry-leading warranty on three years.
”Radar is a well-established foundation for the navigator's awareness at sea, but we wanted to take advantage of what was possible for a seed; important system component. When developing Cyclone, we challenged ourselves to create a radar that combines elegance and high performance, says Gregoire Outters, General Manager for Raymarine's product range; Teledyne FLIR. ”And we met this challenge with ground-breaking design, robust performance and unrivaled radar imagery. With Cyclone, we are making revolutionary changes in the radar segment and giving boaters a whole new level; of situational awareness to the sea.”
Cyclone will be presented and demonstrated during the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show October 27–31 and will be available at Raymarine's dealers worldwide by November 2021 .
