VictronConnect now allows users to secure critical system settings with a security seal.
The "Setup Tutorial" allows installers to learn critical settings to prevent unintended or unhelpful changes from being made to a system's operating parameters.
It will improve system stability and is invaluable to engineers. which handles hundreds of installations!
All other controls - such as setting long drain alarm, initiating battery equalization, updating firmware and setting power limits - remain available for system administrators and end users. Real-time data, historical data and graph analysis also remain; available.
Security Seal
Engineers or installers will be notified if the security seal has learned; set up the next time they connect to the device.

One-step lock
Critical settings can be locked with a single click. The process can be repeated for each device in the system.

There is no need to remember the password as it will be stored by a password manager on ; the installer's VRM account and their phone (or connecting device). There is no need to worry if the phone is lost.
For the password holder, all settings are editable, while the critical settings become 'view only' ' for users.
To delete The setting sheet is also easy. The setup lock can be removed either with the original password, with the PUK code or by using a VE.Direct cable.
Which products can be setup lock Settings lock?
The products that now support the settings lock feature are BMV 712, all SmartShunts, all SmartSolar chargers and the RS product range. The rollout continues, putting äeven more products will support the feature soon – next to turn the Orion XS DC to the DC charger.
