Raymarine YachtSense – The Next Generation of Digital Switching Systems for Boats

A modular and scalable system that gives boat builders and installers full control, high security, and elegant automation via Raymarine Axiom displays.

ARLINGTON, Virginia, USA – December 10, 2020 – FLIR Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: FLIR) launches Raymarine YachtSense™, an advanced digital switching system that provides full control and overview of a vessel's electrical system. The modular architecture of YachtSense redefines the future of vessel automation for boat builders and installers. Developed for reliability, flexibility, and ease of use, the system offers scalable, customizable, and secure marine automation via intuitive control on all Raymarine Axiom® multifunction displays.

Modular architecture for maximum flexibility

YachtSense uses a unique modular design that allows boat builders to create standardized digital switching systems for their entire model range. Each system starts with a master module and a power supply module and is supplemented with signal modules for various onboard functions – from lighting, pumps, and winches to climate control, generators, and entertainment systems.

Elegant control via Axiom displays

With YachtSense, manufacturers and installers can create modern and elegant solutions for digital control. The navigator gets easy touchscreen control over all onboard systems via Raymarine Axiom multifunction displays.

Premium standard for safety and reliability

"YachtSense is the new premium standard for digital control on today's most advanced vessels," says Gregoire Outters, General Manager for Raymarine at FLIR Systems. "The smart, modular, and expandable system gives boat builders the freedom to create customized solutions that meet customers' high demands."

The system has three levels of electrical redundancy, built-in manual bypass via keypad, and an LCD display for diagnostics. All modules are IPX6-rated and come with a three-year warranty.

Launch and practical application

YachtSense has already been installed on a SACS Rebel 55 in Italy. Matteo Magni, CEO of SACS SRL, comments: "We appreciate the collaboration with Raymarine and the opportunity to offer our customers next-generation digital control. The system provides intuitive overview and access to the boat's ecosystem, with safety features that are crucial for performance."
