VICTRON ENERGY PMP482805000, MultiPlus-II combines the functions of MultiPlus and MultiGrid. It has all the MultiPlus features plus an optional external current transformer to implement the PowerControl and PowerAssist functions and to optimize self-consumption with an external current sensor (max. 32 A). It also has all the features of MultiGrid with a built-in anti-islanding device and an ever-increasing long list of countries that approve it and is available in models 3000VA - 5000VA.
A MultiPlus and ESS function (Energy Storage System)
MultiPlus-II is a multifunctional inverter/charger with all functions from MultiPlus, as well as an external current sensor as an option, which increases the PowerControl and PowerAssist functions to 50 A and 100 A respectively. MultiPlus-II ideally suited to professional marine, yacht, automotive and land-based off-grid applications. It also has a built-in function with islanding protection and the list of countries where it is approved for ESS is constantly increasing. Several system settings are possible. PowerControl and PowerAssist - Strengthen the grid or generator capacity
It is possible to set a maximum value for grid or generator current. The MultiPlus-II will then take into account other AC loads and use any extra current for battery charging, preventing the generator or grid from being overloaded (PowerControl function). PowerAssist takes the principle of PowerControl to a new dimension. Since peak power is often only required for a limited
period, the MultiPlus-II will compensate for insufficient generator, shore or mains power with power from the battery. When the load decreases, the excess current is used to recharge the battery.
Solar energy: AC power is available even in case of mains failure
MultiPlus-II can be used without mains power, as well as with grid-connected solar energy and other alternative energy systems. It is compatible with both solar controllers and grid-tied inverters.
Two AC outputs
The main output has an uninterrupted function. The MultiPlus-II takes over the supply to the connected loads in the event of a mains failure or when shore/generator power is disconnected. This happens so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment will continue to function without interruption. The other output is only energized when AC power is available at the input of the MultiPlus-II. Loads that should not drain the battery, such as a water heater, can be connected to this output
Virtually unlimited current thanks to parallel operation and three-phase operation (not available for 8k and 10k models)
Up to 6 Multis can operate in parallel to achieve higher output power. Six units 48/5000/70, for example, will provide 25 kW / 30 kVA output with 420 A charging capacity. In addition to parallel connection, three units of the same model can be configured for three-phase output. But that's not all: up to 6 sets of three units can be connected in parallel for a large inverter of 75 kW / 90 kVA and a charging capacity of more than 1,200 A.
Configuration, monitoring and control of the system on site
Settings can be changed in just a few minutes with the VEConfigure software (desktop or laptop and MK3 USB interface required). A variety of monitoring and control options are available: Color Control GX, Venus GX, Octo GX, CANvu GX, Laptop, Desktop, Bluetooth (with optional VE.Bus Smart dongle), Battery Monitor, Digital Multi Control Panel.
Remote configuration and monitoring
Install a Color ControlGX or another GX product connected to the Internet. Operating data can be stored and displayed on our VRM (Victron Remote Management) web page, which is also free. When connected to the internet, systems can be accessed remotely and settings can be changed.
