VICTRON ENERGY BPC122044002, is a Blue Smart IP22, a new professional battery charger with built-in Bluetooth, 12V/20A and 3 outputs. The Blue Smart IP22 can be used on devices in your workshop and on motor vehicles such as (classic) cars, motorcycles, boats, caravans, and motorhomes. The seven-step charging algorithm gets the most out of your battery. The charger supplies the battery with the current it needs, maintains its health, and ensures better performance and longer life. Unlike other brands, the Blue Smart IP22 charger attempts to charge fully discharged batteries by forcing low current into them. Normal charging then resumes as soon as the battery terminals have sufficient voltage.
The Blue Smart IP22 charger is equipped with built-in Bluetooth, allowing you to check the status of the charger and battery via a smartphone, tablet, or laptop. All charger settings can be made with the VictronConnect app.

High efficiency
With 94% efficiency, these chargers generate up to four times less heat compared to the industry standard, and once the battery is fully charged, power consumption drops to 0.5 watts, about five to ten times better than the industry standard.
Adaptive 6-step charging algorithm: Test - bulk - absorption - reconditioning - float - storage.
The Blue Smart charger is equipped with a microprocessor-controlled adaptive battery management. The adaptive function will automatically optimize the process in relation to how the battery is used.
Fully programmable charging algorithm
Absorption, float, and storage voltages, as well as the reconditioning setting and temperature compensation value, can be programmed with the Bluetooth app. After activating expert mode, it is possible to change virtually all parameters and time limits used by the charging algorithm with the app.
Storage mode: less maintenance and aging when the battery is not in use
Storage mode is always activated when the battery has not been subjected to discharge for 24 hours. In storage mode, the float voltage is reduced to 2.2 V/cell (13.2 V for 12 V batteries) to minimize gassing and corrosion of the positive electrode plates. Once a week, the voltage is raised back to the absorption level to 'equalize' the battery. This function prevents electrolyte and sulfate deposits, one of the main causes of premature battery failure.
Also charges lithium-ion batteries
Lithium-ion batteries are charged with a simple bulk - absorption - float algorithm.
Recovery function for fully discharged batteries
Starts charging even when the battery has been discharged to zero volts. Reconnects to a fully discharged lithium-ion battery with an internal disconnection function.
NIGHT and LOW setting
In NIGHT or LOW setting mode, the output current is reduced to max. 50% of normal output power, and the charger becomes completely silent. The NIGHT setting automatically ends after 8 hours. The LOW setting can be ended manually.
Protected against overheating.
The output current is reduced when the temperature increases up to 50 °C, but the Blue Smart charger is not affected.

Charging algorithm: TEST / BULK / ABSORPTION / RECONDITION / FLOAT / STORAGE / READY. Button for mode setting: NORMAL (14.4 V) / HIGH (14.7 V) / RECONDITION / LI-ION.
History log with 40 cycles
The history screen contains historical data from the charger's entire lifetime and detailed statistics from the last 40 charging cycles.

or more battery chargers. A Smart Battery Monitor or Smartshunt also communicates battery current.
Synchronized parallel charging
Synchronize up to ten battery chargers in a VE.Smart Network to make them charge a battery as if they were
one large charger. The chargers synchronize the charging algorithm between them. They switch simultaneously from one charger mode
to another, for example from bulk to absorption.
