VICTRON ENERGY BPC121313006, is a waterproof Blue Smart IP67 charger 12V/13A which is a new professional battery charger with built-in Bluetooth. The waterproof Blue Smart IP67 can be used on devices in your workshop and on motor vehicles such as (classic) cars, motorcycles, boats, motorhomes and caravans. The seven-step charging algorithm gets the most out of your battery. The charger provides the battery with the current it needs, maintains its health and ensures better performance and longer life. Unlike other brands, the waterproof Blue Smart IP67 charger attempts to charge fully discharged batteries by forcing low current into them. Normal charging then resumes as soon as the battery terminals have sufficient voltage.
The waterproof Blue Smart IP67 is equipped with built-in Bluetooth and you can check the status of the charger and battery via a smartphone, tablet or laptop. All charger settings can be made with the VictronConnect app.
Bluetooth Smart-enabled
Blue Smart IP67 charger is the wireless solution for monitoring voltage and current, for changing settings and for updating the charger when new features become available. With Bluetooth, the IP67 charger works better and in a similar way to the IP22 and IP65 chargers.
Fully encapsulated: waterproof, shockproof and spark-protected
Water, oil or dirt will not be able to damage the Blue Smart IP67 charger. The casing is made of cast aluminum and the electronics are encapsulated in resin.

Sets a new Industry standard: With 95% efficiency or higher, these chargers consume three to four times less heat. Once the battery is fully charged, power consumption is reduced to less than one watt, five to ten times better than Industry standard.
Adaptive 5-step charging algorithm: bulk- absorption - reconditioning- float - storage
The Blue Smart charger is equipped with a microprocessor-controlled adaptive battery management. The adaptive function will automatically optimize the process in relation to the way the battery is used.
Storage mode: Less maintenance and aging when the battery is not in use:
Storage mode is always activated when the battery has not been discharged for 24 hours. In storage mode, the float voltage is reduced to 2.2 V/cell (13.2 V for 12 V batteries) to minimize gassing and corrosion of the positive electrode plates. Once a week, the voltage is raised back to the absorption level to "equalize" the battery. This function prevents stratification of the electrolyte and sulfation, one of the main causes of premature battery failure.

Lithium-ion batteries are charged with a simple bulk - absorption - float algorithm.
Recovery function for fully discharged batteries
Starts charging even when the battery has been discharged to zero volts. Reconnects to a fully discharged lithium-ion battery with an internal disconnection function.
Protected against overheating
Can be used in hot environments such as engine rooms. The output current decreases when the temperature increases up to 60 °C, but the charger can handle this.
