ACTISENSE USG-2, is a bidirectional converter for NMEA 0183, RS422, and RS232 data to a computer via USB. The USG-2 is isolated, which provides better protection for the computer than a standard USB to serial converter. The isolation also ensures that no ground faults can occur. The USB connector is of high quality and the included cable provides a waterproof connection. The screwless terminal blocks make it easy to mount conductors. A DIN kit is available for mounting on a DIN rail.

Several LED diodes indicate the functions. The blue one lights up when a USG-2 has been correctly connected to a computer, the green one indicates when data is being received, and the orange one indicates when data is being sent. No external power supply is required as the USG-2 gets its power from the USB port. Simple plug & play installation with driver on the included CD.
