YACHT DEVICES YDNM-02, is a smart multiplexer with five NMEA 0183 ports and one SeaTalk port, auto-detection of port speeds and easy one-touch configuration. And of course it has flexible filters, broadcast rules and supports firmware updates. The multiplexer has six preset configurations with different speed and rules. The configurations are selected by pressing a hidden button. The ports can be configured to sense the speed of the connected equipment. At setting #1, three out of five ports are configured for "AUTO" speed. This means you don't have to think about the speed of the NMEA 0183 equipment you connect. Port #5 in setup #1 is configured for 4800 bps, but you don't need to worry about it being swamped by AIS messages from port #5 as it is scheduled to take emort data from ports #3, 4 and SeaTalk. The ports can send to themselves which makes it possible to multiplex data from SeaTalk and five different NMEA 0183 products and can send this to three or more different listeners (multiple listeners can be connected to one transmitter, but one listener can only receive data from a transmitter). If you do not find a suitable preset, you can change any setting of: speed, transmission rules, data filtering and tunnel mode. This is done with a command sent to any port on the multiplexer. In the settings, you can also lock the button so that the device is not configured by mistake.
