System reset on for c-series / e-series / eS-series multifunction displays

To ensure that your waypoints, routes, and tracks are not lost during a reset of your c-series, e-series, or eS-series multifunction display, it is important to first save this data on an empty µSD card. Then follow the steps to perform a full factory reset, which will erase all existing data and reconfigure the device.
- First, save waypoints, routes, and tracks on an empty µSD card. Then turn off the MFD using its power button and remove all µSD cards.
- The multifunction display is now off and the card slot is empty. Now press and HOLD the BACK button, then briefly press the power button.
- The screen stays black for a while, then the startup logo appears, followed by a menu. You can now release the BACK button.
- Select the first option (Reset to factory defaults) and briefly press the WPT button.
- The reset is carried out and a counter runs up to 100%. After completion (FLOB erase complete), the device restarts.
This reset deletes everything, including any remnants in the main memory. The device will run through the Start-Up Wizard again to help with configuration/settings etc. If necessary, the settings for the NMEA interface must be made (e.g. for AIS) and previously saved waypoints, routes, and tracks must be imported back from the µSD card.
