New features in LightHouse 4.9

Raymarine has now launched LightHouse 4.9, the latest update for all Axiom chartplotters that adds new features, improvements, and updates that expand Axiom's capabilities. New and notable changes in LightHouse 4.9 include:

Screen Controls for Anchor Mode

Uses your vessel's GNSS (GPS) position to record your location when your anchor reaches the bottom. Anchor mode automatically calculates the vessel's swing and drag circles and can alert you when the anchor drags. In LightHouse 4.9, new screen controls allow you to fine-tune the anchor depth value, adjust the chain length value, and adjust the recorded anchor position.

New Audio Icons

LightHouse 4.9 now includes manufacturer-specific home screen icons for Fusion, Hertz, JL Audio, Rockford Fosgate, and Wet Sounds devices. These icons replace the standard audio application icon when Axiom's home screen is set to use mode icons.

Support for the JL Audio MediaMaster 105 system We have also added extended support for the JL Audio MediaMaster 105 audio system. Use a RayNet Ethernet connection between Axiom and MM105 to experience the rich user interface of the MediaMaster system from the LightHouse app menu.

The video settings menu allows users to select these icons for each video source. LightHouse 4.9 also adds a new screen-based camera home button that lets you reset a connected pan/tilt/zoom camera to its programmed home position.

Support for Multi-Constellation GPS/GNSS and Fix Prioritization

Axiom offers GNSS support for GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and Beidou satellite navigation systems. In LightHouse 4.9, users can enable or disable individual constellations as desired. Additionally, the multi-data source feature now allows users to select a GNSS receiver based on HDOP or signal strength.

Waypoint Entry Improvements

Lighthouse 4.9 offers a new button to choose between various common formats for expressing waypoint latitude/longitude coordinates in degrees, minutes, seconds, decimals, and other variations. This includes the very popular DD.DDDDDD decimal degree format used by Google Maps and many mobile navigation apps. Additionally, we have added an "Add Another" button in the waypoint dialog, making the entry of multiple waypoints in succession more efficient. You no longer need to close and reopen the form.
