Take a look atå Here's the walkthrough and schematic for your project
If you're planning to install a power system in a recreational vehicle, van, or RV, you'll be interested in seeing the wiring diagram and accompanying tutorial just finished by Peter Bakker.
Peter is the designer of all the schemes in our free-to-use library, but this latest scheme – a link to which you will find at the end of this article – It is different because it contains a walkthrough of the system choices.
It also shows; how different levels of user interface and system control can be offered by choosing from our range of monitoring, measurement and communication devices.
It ä is a curriculum for professional installers and do-it-yourselfers alike, demonstrating the versatility that allows you to build to your customer's … or your own preferences and needs.
The mobile installation shown is based on a 3kVA MultiPlus inverter charger, including 300Ah drop-in lithium-ion storage that has a battery management system (BMS) included; battery charging from Solar, Generator (controlled by Orion Tr Smart DC-DC Charger) and AC sources; charging current control; and, as discussed, local and remote monitoring and management capabilities.
The discussion text accompanying the drawing contains a full explanation of the job performed by each of the installed devices, how they should be connected, including installation notes, warnings and alternative suggestions that may be appropriate for your own construction
- You can find Peter's wiring diagram of a 3kVA inverter with lithium storage for RVs and RVs here.
- You can access all of Peter's system diagrams with all of our devices – when you visit this page you will be invited to enter the name of the the Victron unit you are interested in in the future.
- The very detailed diagram cannot advise you on wire diameter or circuit size as this depends on the system's topography and current. You can find all the information you need to properly size cables, fuses and much more by consulting our online publication Wiring Unlimited.
