FLIR Systems introduces a groundbreaking innovation in marine electronics: ClearCruise Augmented Reality. This technology provides enhanced situational awareness on the water for Raymarine's Axiom® multifunction displays (MFD). With ClearCruise AR, users can make smarter decisions by seeing navigation objects directly overlaid on Axiom's high-resolution video display. FLIR also launches the Raymarine AR200 video stabilization module, which integrates with ClearCruise.
ClearCruise AR uses Raymarine CAM210 HD cameras to create an augmented reality view from any onboard camera angle. The AR200 module contains a precision GPS/GNSS sensor and the same AHRS technology used in Raymarine's award-winning Evolution autopilots. ClearCruise AR displays navigation marks, AIS traffic, objects, and waypoints in sync with real-world images for quick recognition – making complex navigation and dense traffic easier to manage.
ClearCruise AR was recently awarded the Innovation Award in the OEM Electronics category at the IBEX show in Tampa, Florida. ClearCruise AR joins the Axiom MFD, which won the prestigious Innovation Award at the Miami Boat Show 2017.
ClearCruise AR for Axiom, Axiom Pro, and Axiom XL is compatible with the upcoming LightHouse 3.7 OS update. Users can download the update directly to their Wi-Fi-enabled MFD units or via Raymarine's website.
