Experimental feature for remote monitoring of Pico rev.2

We are happy to announce a new "experimental" feature from Simarine! From now on, you can use the app to monitor your batteries, tank levels, temperatures and other metrics from anywhere. In this blog post, we will explore the installation process for this new feature and what it offers you.
See your batteries from ... you decide!
If you ä provide a boat or yacht and leave your vessel in the marina, you would probably like to know the status of your batteries. And if you drive any type of motorhome or caravan, it's handy to see the temperatures, tank levels and state of charge of your batteries.
Because the batteries don't cheapest piece of your gear, not to mention how important they are to your adventures to by sea or by car country, you need to know how much power they have left at all times.
Here comes the real news: now you can view all your data on; remote and configure the settings (firmware updates will only be possible via Pico).
Four monitoring is implemented only for the revised version of Pico, because the communication module ;der communication öover the internet. If you do not know if your version of PICO is rev. 2.0, you will find this information on the label on back of Pico.
Alternatively, you can navigate PICO to MENU > SYSTEM > SYSTEM INFO and check which version of firmware is installed. If the installed version of the firmware starts with 1.xx, you have a revised version of PICO.
Step number one: upgrade the firmware
To enable the feature requires you must first upgrade the firmware to the latest version (v1.11) that supports FJÄRR connection. As you can see, you now have the possibility of remote connection beyond AP and STA connection mode.
After the upgrade, connect your phone to your Pico using the AP cable. give, soå that the phone application will automatically register the Pico's serial number needed for remote communication.
In the menu, enable Experimental functions and remote monitoring.
How to enable spring monitoring
Close the application. På your Pico, navigate to MENU > WIFI > LÄGE and select FJÄRR and connect it to a WiFi network with Internet access.
Make sure your phone is connected to a WiFi with Internet access or that you have activated your mobile data. If you switch between WiFi and mobile data, you must restart the application before synchronization takes place.
Start the application and wait for that the sync should start. The sync may take a minute or two. After it is finished, a green globe icon will appear at the top of the screen. screen, right next to the application's name. This icon indicates that you have access to your Pico over the internet.
In FJÄRR mode, only one device can be connected to the PICO.
