Exceptional performance at 100% Depth of Discharge (DoD)
Tests have shown that the Super Cycle battery can withstand at least three hundred 100% DoD cycles. These tests consisted of a daily discharge to 10.8 V with I = 0.2C₂₀, followed by two hours of rest in a discharged state, and then a recharge with I = 0.2C₂₀. These two hours of rest in a discharged state would damage most batteries after less than 100 cycles, but not the Super Cycle battery.
We recommend the Super Cycle battery for devices where occasional discharges to 100% DoD are expected, or frequent 60–80% DoD.
Smaller and lighter
Another benefit of the new chemistry is that the battery is slightly smaller in size and weighs less compared to our standard deep cycle AGM batteries.
