NMEA2000
Plug and play NMEA 2000 interface. The integrated NMEA 2000 supports all PGN’s for navigation, GPS, AIS and DSC functions. Just connect your NMEA 2000 to your existing network to complete your system with all VHF and DSC functions.
Integrated 66-channel WAAS GPS antenna
The GX2400 MATRIX AIS/GPS, has a 66-channel WAAS GPS antenna integrated into the radio's front panel, now there is no hassle of connecting the radio to a GPS for DSC (Digital Selective Calling) or AIS (Automated Identification System). Ready to receive AIS or AIS SART targets, DSC calls, position sharing, waypoint navigation, and navigation to DSC emergency calls can be performed with just a few simple steps after taking it out of the box.
Built-in AIS Receiver with AIS / AIS SART display: MMSI, call sign, vessel name, BRG, DST, SOG and COG
MATRIX AIS/GPS displays AIS information (MMSI, call sign, vessel name, BRG, DST, SOG and COG) allows you to contact an AIS vessel directly via DSC, displays your vessel position in relation to the AIS transmitters and warns you when an AIS vessel is about to come too close from your position via Closest Point of Approach (CPA) Alarm.
Programmable CPA or TCPA collision avoidance alarm
The GX2400 Matrix AIS/GPS displays your vessel position in relation to the AIS transmitters and warns you when an AIS vessel is about to come too close from your position via Closest Point of Approach (CPA) Alarm, or Time to Closest Point of Approach (TCPA) Alarm.
30 Watt PA/Loud Hailer with pre-programmed fog signals and listen back
The MATRIX AIS/GPS is available with a 30W Loud Hailer with fog signals; Bells and whistles with listen back. As an added benefit, the last selected VHF channel can be heard in PA or fog modes and the AIS screen can be accessed and used.
RAM4 Second station compatible
Do you need to remotely control a VHF from your cockpit with a fly bridge? The MATRIX AIS / GPS is a RAM4 remote microphone that can control all VHF and DSC functions on a second station. The RAM4 is a replica of the main radio screen showing all functions including AIS screens and vessel information. The intercom function allows communication between the main radio and the remote station.
RAM4X Wireless Second station compatible
Wirelessly control all radio functions on the GX2400 with the interface for the RAM4X wireless remote access microphone. With the SCU-30 * wireless access point connected to the back of the radio, you have the option to synchronize up to 4 RAM4X units. With a working range of up to 65 feet, the RAM4X allows you to control all radio functions including DSC calls, position polling, group calls and more. The RAM4X can also be used as an intercom between the main station or between other wireless RAM4X units. (* SCU-30 must be purchased separately, it is not included with the RAM4X).
Waypoint Navigation
The MATRIX AIS / GPS can enter and save up to 100 waypoints. These waypoints can be selected and navigated to using a unique navigation compass display showing your vessel's SOG, COG, BRG (Bearing) and DST (Distance) to the waypoint.
Flush mountable
Two mounting options are available. Attach the radio with the included bracket and knob, or use the optional MMB-84 to enclose the radio.
Integrated Voice Scrambler
Loaded with an internal 32-code voice scrambler for private communication. The 32-code scrambler is compatible with all Standard Horizon 4-code scramblers already in use. Just select a channel to be encrypted and then select a common code between the transmitting and receiving radios and your communication is secure.
