YACHT DEVICES YDSR-01, is a smart relay used when you have two consumers but only one switch. For example: You mount a combined deck and masthead light on the mast and only have a two-wire cable in the mast. The relay powers the first consumer when you turn on the power consumer, and it powers the second power consumer when you turn the switch on/off twice within one second.
The YDSR-01 consists of a bistable RT424F05 relay and only consumes power when a channel changes. Otherwise, it draws less than 0.5mA. It can switch 6-16V loads with continuous current consumption up to 8A with a peak of 15A (4 seconds, 10% duty cycle). To switch between channels, turn the switch on/off twice within one second. If one load is to be constantly on, and the other is to be switched on after the quick change, connect the first load to the incoming power terminal, and the second load to channel 2.
Although the unit is waterproof, the terminals are open and seawater can create a short circuit. Do not place the unit where it can be splashed with water.
The resistance between the active channels is always 0. The smart switching is controlled by a microprocessor in the unit. High voltage (above 16V) can cause permanent damage.
